BIOGRAPHY
Maxwell AU is a creative singer-songwriter, recording artist and a worshipper. He stands amongst the new breeds of worshippers that God has raised in this generation. He has been graced with the ability to blend contemporary praise and worship into African music yet carrying the full meaning and purpose of it. He has been leading his audience into a seasoned presence of God in worship through the help of the Holy Spirit. Maxwell desires always to leave his audience with great satisfaction both spiritually and emotionally.
Furthermore, he has a clear vision to influence lives also lead the lost back to the Heavenly father. He desires that the churched and un-churched to experience love, restoration, hope and joy through God’s word of wisdom and worship.
He was born into the family of Bishop John and Peace Aruakpor and was brought up with great discipline and the fear of God. He grew up in Warri, Delta State Nigeria. He relocated to Malaysia in 2009 to continue his education in computer science and later moved to Canada in 2011 where he currently resides. Maxwell is married to Linda who is also a worshipper, and a great mother to their son EloOgheneZino.
He released his debut album called Dependable God with a hit track Hallelujah featuring Faith Eze and the Victorious Worshippers. This single gained a lot of attention in the media and won the Akademia Music Award for Best Gospel / Ballad Song and was nominated for best gospel song for the GMA/Covenant Award and Glass Achievement Award 2015 nominated.
He has been blessed to release his new album called “Shelter” on the 21st of May 2021 a ten-track album filled with songs of hope, life, joy and encouragement. Maxwell believes that these songs will be a huge blessing to the body of Christ and world at large.
He has been privileged to share the platform with many great worship ministers likes of Donnie McClurkin, Israel Houghton, Todd Dulaney, William McDowell, Travis Green, Don Moen and many more.
