That morning momma told me
We be going to church

After that the graduation

Next I knew am on the ground
Felt the pain allround

Looking at the corpses

Next I heard momma praying
Then I heard her call my name
She was glad I was alive
And I also felt the same
Though she was fine and good
But I ain’t never knew
She was going through alot of pain
I won’t have understood
And I was hurt good
In my blood pool
Got my legs turning in ways
That it normally shouldn’t
The devil thought he got
But I ain’t dead yet
No matter what he tries
I ain’t gonna die

Drips and needles everywhere
Bandages on my right leg
Had two surgeries that day

New am way above
Got the God kind of life
So I can’t even think death

Now am missing momma
Can’t find her anywhere
Then I asked a few questions
Said she was doing well
Few weeks later
They told she gone
Tears rolling down
Thoughts coming up
How will live without her?
How would I run this race?
Then I heard a voice say
She was in better place
So my faith grew
And my fear died
I left that clinic with a goal
And a new life
So I ain’t gonna
Let the enemy turn me off
The fire burning in
Is to much to engulf
Thanks to those
who where there for me
You showed me true love

For keeping me alive and well
If I had died that day
Where would I be
