Brad Quilliam – You Found Me [Video]

You Found Me Video | Brad Quilliam

To explain this song ‘You Found Me‘  we would have to go back over thirty years ago, it starts off mentioning about ‘I went off walking‘ and it symbolises what was happening in my life during that time, as I was wondering around in a state of being lost and it was the time the Lord made himself evident into my life and gave me the answers to my questions and provided purpose to my life.

It mentions being Baptised, receiving the Holy Spirit and opening the insight into understanding the scriptures to be able to use them to live by. It ends the song talking about a time that is coming with ‘Peace & Love‘ and wanting to be there, it is obviously describing my interpretation of the Lord’s return and the life to come living with him, which is my hope and purpose to my life.

To see what is mentioned in scripture and within the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, when someone answers the call of the Lord and makes the decision to follow the teachings and example of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is spoken about being in a state of lost and coming to a place of found, as you can see in the provided scripture from the book of Luke chapter 15 verses 27 to 32.

Luke 15:27-32
27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him safe and sound.’ 28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command; yet you never gave me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your living with harlots, you killed for him the fatted calf!’ 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 It was fitting to make merry and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’
